The Politically Incorrect Guide Series

A wonderful series of books that discuss history, philosophy, politics, literature, science, and a number of other subjects.  This series was written in an effort to counteract the skewed and at times even completely false curricula in today’s High Schools and Colleges.  The books are written by a variety of authors and it appears mostly, if not entirely, by good Catholics.  They are available both in print format  (hard copy and ebook) as well as in Audiobook format (all performed by the wonderful Blackstone Audio Books company),  and all are available through Amazon.com.

The books are filled with reliable facts and information that is always backed up with solid sources.  In fact, one of the hallmarks of these books is the periodic book recommendation sections that always begin with: “A book you’re not suppose to read…” or in the case of the installment on the South: “A book y’all aint suppose to read…”  And so there too is always a good bit of humor mixed in with the often weighty subjects discussed.  And as I was saying there are so many wonderful book recommendations that come out of each of these books it will allow you to spend more time learning and researching into any given area that these books discuss.  This makes these book an invaluable resource in today’s information age filled with so much misinformation.

Some really great books from the series include the following:

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to Western Civilization, by Anthony Esolen

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to American History, by Thomas E. Woods Jr.

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to the South (and Why It Will Rise Again), by Clint Johnson

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to the Civil War, by H.W. Crocker III

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to English and American Literature, by Elizabeth Kantor, Ph.D.

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to Islam (and the Crusades) by Robert Spencer

The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to Darwinism and Intelligent Design by Jonathan Wells
